Depression in Primary Care

  • The MacArthur Foundation Initiative on Depression and Primary Care at Dartmouth and Duke has created a Depression Tool Kit, which is intended to help primary care clinicians recognize and manage depression. Developed by Jurgen Unutzer at the University of Washington.
  • Healthy IDEAS is an evidence-based program that integrates depression awareness and management into care management services provided to older adults.

Fact Sheet: Screening and Counseling for Alcohol Misuse: Making the Most of Medicare’s Coverage Options

SBIRT: an evidence-based approach to identify, reduce, and prevent problematic use, abuse, and dependence on alcohol and illicit drugs

MAT: Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of pharmacological medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a ‘whole patient’ approach to the treatment of substance use disorders.
